Salsa Dancing

Everyone once in a while I like to put on my dancing shoes, slick my hair back, put on that lime green shirt and go SALSA DANCING.  I tell you what, you get a great work out salsa dancing the night away.  There’s a couple of spots I’ve hit up in my short stay in Dallas.  Gloria’s in Addisson was probably the best Salsa spot.  There was a live band, good drinks and some good looking chicas.  I was surprised to see a fairly diverse crowd-white, black, hispanic.  Although I’m not a very good dancer, I tell you what, I had girls turning there heads all over the dance floor.  - not really, but we’ll leave that between you and me. 

How to adjust to Dallas partying

There are so many things to do in Dallas, but figuring out where to go can be a task itself.  The thing about Dallas is that you really have to plan your night out.  Altough there are some areas with a decent concentration of clubs/bars, you have to plan what type of mood you want to be in when panning your night out.  There are several options to pick from, which is good, but if you don’t know what you want to get yourself into for the night, you might end up somewhere you don’t want to be in.  Usually you have those spots you can just hang out- typical hole in the wall bars.  You can also the upscale lounge/club areas which is completely different.  The typical party areas in Dallas are Greenville (bars/clubs), Addison (lounges/clubs), Uptown( Bars/lounges) Downtown (lounges/clubs).  I typically enjoy all kinds of settings, but to those who want something in particular, beware and plan your night ahead of time!

Tribeca in Dallas

So when I first moved to Dallas I used to hit up this spot in uptown pretty much every weekend- Tribeca.  The place had a good atmosphere, good music, but damn did it lack some ladies.  I only went because it was the only spot where the people I was going out with like to go with some OK dance music around the area we would go to in Uptown.  Honestly, it’s not too bad of a spot, but guys, if you are looking for quality and a good quantity of girls, you might want to cinsider other bars.  All in all, there we always had a good time when we headed out there…….

Uptown Dallas

When I first moved to Dallas my co workers and I would hit up Up Town ALL THE TIME.  I got kind of bored of the same old scene.  Most of the bars around the area were filled of preppy people that didnt’ know how to dance, or have a good time.  Eventually, we were able to move away from that scene and explore other nightlife areas like Downtown and Addison.  These two areas were my crowds with great music and some good looking girls.  I’m still looking around for good spots to party, so if anyone out there knows of any good spots holla atcho boy!

Dallas Nightlife

I recently moved to Dallas, and have been trying to figure out what Dallas’ nightlife is all about.  At first it was hard trying to find the good spots to go to, but I have been able to find my way the few months that I’ve been here.  I particulary enjoyed heading out to the Greenville area.  It reminds me of where the party spots I used to hit up in Austin, Texas.  I have yet to find a favorite bar/club, but I’m still on the search.  I’ll kee you updated on my venture!
